Hi, hello! Thank you again for visiting my lil corner of the worldwide web!
I started this site in the summer of 2023 after slowly growing more and more inactive on Twitter ever since it changed hands the year before. I've had my Tumblr since 2011, but personal posting on it hasn't felt comfortable in ages because my main blog has a lot of followers—a relic from my old days of theme making as a teenager.
At the same time, I'd been looking for a place to put all my OC info; Tumblr was limited since they stopped allowing javascript in custom themes unless you spoke with Support, Google Docs was fine but it's Google, I didn't like toyhouse, and Carrd was quickly buckling under the weight of how much I wanted to put in it even with a premium subscription.
So... my sanctuary was born! Like I mentioned before, I used to code themes on Tumblr when I was younger. I don't think they were very good >wo)9 Relearning to code has been a journey, but nothing is impossible with the tried and true method of Beating The Code With A Hammer Until It Works Or Blows Up.
I actually shelved it for a year and a half after moving houses in late 2023; coding wasn't high on my list of priorities for a long while. I even went back to Google Docs for OC lore because it was easier to write it down there than it was to do it in a website. Like most of my projects, I came back on a whim, mostly for the sake of updating my main OC's profile page.
I'll probably be in and out of this website's life (I've already done so before after all) but my sanctuary will always be here, just as there'll always be stars in the sky.
I'm calling the front page's layout Starfall Sanctuary V2: Lullaby of Vibrant Seas, and it features my shining star Lunya!
The front page's original layout was Starfall Sanctuary V1: Dream Sweet Under Moonlight. I'll try to remember to get a screenshot of it here later!
I'm a big fan of designing different layouts for every page, so I'm not going to name all of them >w<)9
Feel free to poke around in my code even if it's very ugly ;w;)b I don't mind if you copy and learn from snippets here and there! Everything I know about coding I learned from someone else, after all! Just please don't straight up take all of it!
Please, please, please do not save or use any of my artwork and assets I've personally made. All the art I've drawn for this site is something I've put a lot of time and effort into and it's quite personal to me, especially since I've had bad experiences with art theft in the past. If something is named "lulun_[filename]" please do not save it unless it's from my resources page.
