The Man in the Bottle
The seven sons of scientist Vitalis mal Oriundi were neither biologically his own or adopted conscript children, but homunculi created as living weapons. Seven was the final and most successful of Vitalis' creations, and this status of his would prove to be a hindrance as much as it was a boon for his "father".
Seven's body was based on a Lalafellin conscript who was chosen to be the subject of Vitalis's greatest experiment—Project Ouroboros. With no memories of a life before waking up over two decades ago, Seven was separated from his brothers and told that he'd been caught in an accident at the lab and was being isolated for the sake of his recovery. He did so with great speed to the joy of his creators, and eventually enlisted in the military upon regaining his strength. He rose through the ranks quickly with no word from his family, certain that achieving greater glories would remind them of him, but soon enough his skill with magitek caught the eyes of others.
It took great convincing for the VIIIth Legion to part with Seven, whose strength and battle capabilities were admired among his comrades. But Seven himself wanted to work more with magitek beyond the use of them, and the transfer went through. Upon his promotion he got to enter the laboratories of Garlemald, where he would encounter Vitalis mal Oriundi for the first and last time, for at that moment he would awaken the Echo and discover the truth…

Initially a soldier, Seven's fiddling with his standard-issue gunblade led to the discovery of his natural talent with magitek. His proficiency with the blade itself never faltered even as he changed ranks, and his superiors allowed him to continue training with the understanding that handling the weapon personally could lead to improving the next model.

| Three Parvos | The older of Seven's two surviving brothers is also the biggest asshole of the set. Created incredibly frail in comparison to his counterparts, he was pushed into a cushy government job and spent most of his days trailing behind people who despised him and reading documents and books about how non-Garleans were lesser. Naturally, he hates Seven as well for being a deserter who came crawling back to Garlemald in the company of savages. Seven… doesn't entirely know what to make of this Ouroboros of internalized self-hatred and xenophobia yet. |

Trivia
There's no surviving records of the man Seven and his brothers were based on—no name, no country of origin, no family, nothing. He's naturally a little concerned that one day he'll be walking around and someone will recognize his face. He jokingly describes every bad decision he makes as part of his mid-life crisis, which started when he was created and hasn't stopped since.

Etymology
His adopted surname, Korven, comes from korvin meaning “crow.” His name follows traditional Plainsfolk name order─AB CB─and he probably just thinks it sounds cool.
