G'raha Tia is an important character in Final Fantasy XIV, originally introduced as a historian in the Crystal Tower quests and a member of the Students of Baldesion. He's a highly intelligent and eccentric man, playing a silly game with the player character before their first face-to-face meeting and flamboyantly introducing himself by leaping off a towering scaffold above the party. His research was devoted to the ancient empire of Allag, which a long lost secret of was passed down for generations in his family. He learns that his bright red eye is the result of an Allagan princess giving her blood to his ancestor in the empire's final days in hopes that it could one day be resurrected.

In another timeline, 200 years after the Crystal Tower's doors closed, G'raha was woken up.
